H. C. R. 25

(By Delegates Overington, Douglas, Faircloth and Trump)

Naming the West Virginia 9 Bypass on the south end of Martinsburg, Berkeley County, "Apple Harvest Drive."

Whereas, It has been an established practice within state government that the Legislature pass a current resolution establishing the name of a major roadway; and
Whereas, Commissioner Fred VanKirk stated that the Division of Highways would have no objection to naming the West Virginia 9 Bypass on the south end of Martinsburg, Berkeley County, "Apple Harvest Drive"; and
Whereas, "Apple Harvest Drive" would appropriately name a road in the heart of this state's apple growing region; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the West Virginia 9 Bypass on the south end of Martinsburg, Berkeley County, be named "Apple Harvest Drive"; and be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner of the Division of Highways.
